Being responsible for premises out of office hours can be a stressful part of running a business.

With the potential for an alarm to sound at any time of day or night, there is always the possibility for interruption to home life. And should the call come informing you of a security situation, when you respond it is possible to be confronted with all manner of scenarios, from ruthless intruders to rogue wildlife.

But there is another way to manage your alarm response and the security requirements of your workplace infrastructure. Keyholding services are an increasingly popular way to keep buildings safe and secure, without placing staff in a vulnerable or even hazardous environment.

While it may seem very easy to allow a trusted employee to look after an extra key, there are considerable advantages to placing that key, and the responsibility for the premises, in the hands of security professionals.

So what is keyholding and how can it make a difference to the way you meet the security needs of your business? Keyholding services aim to both reduce the risk of a security breach and minimise the potential damage to personnel and property in the event of a break in.

By appointing a security firm, such as Zed Security and Guarding, you can hand over this responsibility to trained and skilled security specialists. By providing keyholding services, Zed will look after an extra pair of keys to your business premises, meaning we will take over the responsibility for responding to any security issues.

Not only is this safer and more secure, but there is no risk of conflict or confusion, and a long-established security firm is set up to provide a full 24/7 service without any compromise.

As a leading security firm we can offer the capacity to monitor your premises consistently and be ready to be on site if any problems should arise. If there is any evidence of an incident or uncertain activity at the property, no matter when it might be, an experienced security officer will be ready to attend. Whether there is a serious attempt to break in by an intruder or something suspicious that turns out to be a false alarm, you can rest easy that a member of the Zed team is looking after things.

If required, it is also easy to extend these services to include a site check at the beginning and end of each workday as part of a locking up and unlocking service. This ensures that the building is always secure overnight and means you get advanced warning of any issues that might have occurred rather than an unpleasant surprise as you arrive for work.

All of the keyholders employed by Zed Security and Guarding are qualified, experienced and professional in their approach, with a broad knowledge of the correct security procedures when monitoring a building or investigating a possible security breach.

If there is an incident to be dealt with, whether that be criminal or even a form of accidental damage, our team will take the appropriate action making sure the property remains as safe as possible. As a business you are also better protected, as any circumstances will have been witnessed and recorded by a trained security professional.

To find out more about our keyholding services and how we might be able to improve the safety and security of your business premises, call us on 01206 481681.
